CHALLENGE WINNERS!

I just couldn't decide between these two lovely ladies so I decided to choose them both. Congratulations to Christine and Jacqueline! You've seen them both before but they just keep inspiring me through their photos and work.

Christine of seakay_photo takes unreal photos for her instagram photo blog. I never get tired of the breathtaking views and colorful skies. Awesome submissions Christine!

Some of you may remember Jacqueline, who is touring the country as a national representative of her sorority. She's been blogging about her year and it's so interesting! "I went bowling with a young woman who has autism and is a Special Olympian this week in Bowling Green, Kentucky! (Appropriate, right?) This week she helped me work on my foul shout in basketball and totally kicked my butt at bowling! It was great. Not to mention my bowling ball and top matched my bowling shoes!" Thanks for submitting!

Thanks for reading and check back for an Eat To Live update among other awesome things coming up!

Today I'm so excited to be posting about Brilliant Earth for their Pinterest Personality Style Challenge! Brilliant Earth is a great company that focuses on ethically sourced diamonds which I fully support. In this styling session, I based my look off of their elegant, minimalist accessories because I think that they fit best with my own personal style.
For this casual look, I chose to focus on minimal jewelry and accessories so that their small details would not be overpowered by a look full of huge prints and patterns. I love to complete a silk top with a long, light cardigan and I think that these purple and cream colors are great compliments. Their warmth also translates well when paired with gold. Thus, I chose to showcase Brilliant Earth's gold moon stud earrings. These also match the beautiful diamond studded ring.

Finishing off the look was easy because of the great accessories: I chose a dark wash denim and black flats with a gold toe embellishment. I would definitely wear this to my new job, out to drinks with friends or on a weekend running errands. It's versatile and comfortable which, for my style, are two key factors.

Thank you Brilliant Earth and I hope you all like this look! Make sure to check out their Pinterest page and browse their great selection of jewelry.

CHALLENGE WINNERS: LINDA AND SARAH

This week I had to pick two winners because I was so in love with both of these photos. The first photo is actually of my cousin Sam who is clearly super stoked about his Christmas cookies. Thanks so my Aunt Linda for submitting it! Made my day :) The second picture was submitted by Sarah. This is her dog Riley, affectionately referred to as "fattie" (you can follow him on instagram here). Congratulations to Linda and Sarah!

Congratulations to Christine who spent her holiday in Napa Valley! Tough life right? I love that the focus on the background is clear through the glass even though it's in the foreground, and not the focal point. Really creative and perfect for this time of year. Thank you Christine for your submission and I'm so happy you had a great time!

It's an exciting, well written, and just over-all awesome blog. You really need to check it out!

Below are the three pictures that she submitted to the contest. I couldn't pick just one so I chose them all. These particular pictures are from the Lego store in Nashville and from a visit to a chapter in Bowling Green, Kentucky!
